Currently doing maths degree, feel I am not going to do well should i postpone it?
I am in final year studying maths with statistics and finance. I have had quite a rough time in uni changing courses and taking a couple of years out, so this is my 5th year of being in uni. After having been out of uni for 2 years and coming back this year I have been struggling throughout the year. I have some personal circumstances with family, one being dad being very ill and recently being hospitalised. I've found it hard to concentrate and have 5 more exams to sit. I feel I am only going to pass with a 3rd class degree which would be a waste.
I think I have messed up too much to be able to apply for reasonable jobs and have always had an interest in starting my own business after uni. However I'm not sure if I should do the next few exams, as i feel like i've lost the will to fight. The univeristy say to students that if you feel you are not fit to sit the exams do not sit them. I have been seeing a psychologist, and I could ask the univerisity if I can sit them next year. However the dilemma i face is, to get the degree over and done with this year and not care about not doing so welll, so to do it next year when i can do a bit better?
